Product Registration Process
The Dubai Municipality is the primary regulatory authority responsible for the registration of most products, including food items, cosmetics, and consumer goods. DM ensures that products meet health, safety, and quality standards before they can be marketed or sold within the UAE.

Necessary Documents for product registration:
1. Valid Trade License
2. detailed description of the product, including its intended use, composition, and manufacturing details
3. certificates of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or equivalent documents from the manufacturer to verify quality standards.
4. laboratory analysis results confirming product safety, especially for food, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
5. a clear sample of the product label, complying with Dubai’s product labelling guidelines.
6. Product image & Label Image.
7. Artwork of the product.
8. HS Code
Product Labelling Requirements:
1. Product name and brand name
2. Ingredients and composition
3. Manufacturing date along with expiry date
4. Country of origin
5. In label in addition to above net weight of the product or volume, product bar code, shelf life, storage condition, allergic warning (if any), Batch number are mandatory
6. Special instructions and warning if any
Registration process:
1. Register a company and have license in with food trading or general trading activity
2. Register the company with Dubai Municipality with following details:
• Valid license copy
• Owner’s passport copy
• Visa copy
• Emirates ID
• P.O box
• Office location details
• Telephone & fax (if any)
3. Create and submit online application
4. Lab testing of the product may be required at the time of inspection
Timeline: 7 working days after submission of the above information

• Certificate issuance fees
The fee may range between AED 4000 to AED 10000 depending on the number and type of products.
